Septic System Changes
Uncas Health District to provide technical support

Norwich - The Connecticut Department of Public Health's Environmental Engineering Program released Technical Standards Revisions on January 1, 2007. The changes included definitions, location of the Subsurface Sewage Disposal System (Septic System), piping, design flows, tanks, distribution of effluent, percolation tests, leaching systems, drainage, filters, fabrics, and other technical standards. These changes are of particular interest for builders, engineers, and septic system installers.

For a list of changes, or to discuss the changes, please contact one of the Uncas Health District Sanitarians at (860) 823-1189.
